Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what people ask us most often — how the consultation works, what is included in the price, when you pay, what anaesthesia involves and what to expect after your procedure. Questions about individual procedures are on their own pages. If you cannot find yours, call or write to us; better still, come for a consultation, which is free — whether or not you decide to go ahead.

Consultation & booking

Everything starts with a conversation with the doctor. It is free, non-binding and without pressure.

Yes. A consultation with one of our plastic surgeons is free and non-binding — whether or not you decide to go ahead with a procedure.

The doctor examines you, explains your options and answers all your questions. The decision is then entirely yours, and you do not have to make it on the spot. There is nothing to pay when booking a procedure date either.

By phone on +420 778 277 277, by e-mail at info@estela.cz, or through any of the forms on this website.

During opening hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm) a real person always answers the phone — never an answering machine. In a message, just tell us which procedure you are interested in and when suits you; we will get back to you and arrange the details.

No. Consultations always take place in person at the clinic.

The doctor needs to see and examine the area concerned — that is the only way to responsibly assess which approach is right for you and what result you can expect. We are happy to answer practical questions by phone or e-mail: dates, prices and how booking works.

That is exactly what the consultation is for. There are often several ways to reach the same result — the doctor explains their advantages and disadvantages and recommends the one that suits you, and why.

Before deciding, we recommend going through the surgical plan with the doctor as well. A basic overview of each procedure, how it is performed and what recovery involves is on the individual procedure pages.

No. The consultation is non-binding, and so is a booked procedure date — you pay nothing until the operation itself and can take your time to think it over.

The decision is yours alone, at your own pace. If further questions come up after the consultation, just call or write to us.

We perform aesthetic procedures from the age of 18. The exception is correction of prominent ears, which can be done from around the age of 6 — once the ear cartilage has finished growing and provided the child cooperates.

Nose, breast and intimate surgery are performed only after the age of 18, when physical development is complete. There is no upper age limit; what matters is your health, which the doctor assesses at the consultation.

Prices & payment

Prices are final and nothing is paid in advance. Here is exactly what that means.

The price includes the initial consultation, the procedure itself, anaesthesia, your stay at the clinic (an overnight stay for procedures under general anaesthesia), dressings and post-operative check-ups until you have healed.

Post-operative compression garments or a support bra are not included — you buy these in advance, as recommended by your doctor, so you have them ready on the day. The full price list is on the Pricing page.

No. You pay nothing when booking a date — we do not ask for a deposit or advance payment.

Everything remains completely non-binding right up to the procedure itself. Payment is made after the procedure, at the clinic.

After the procedure, at the clinic. You can pay in cash, by card or by bank transfer — for a transfer we prepare a QR code for you.

You receive a receipt on the spot.

Yes. Because you pay nothing in advance, cancelling or moving a date costs you nothing.

We only ask that you let us know as early as possible, so we can offer the slot to someone else. A call or a message is enough.

No. Estela is a private clinic with no contract with health insurers — all procedures are paid for by the client. The advantage is that you know the price in advance and there is no waiting list.

Some procedures — such as ear correction in children or reduction of very large breasts — may be covered by public health insurance, but only at contracted, usually hospital, facilities and subject to their criteria.

Yes. The prices in our price list are final and include everything described above — no surcharges for anaesthesia, hospital stay or check-ups.

For some procedures the price depends on the extent, for example the number of areas treated in liposuction or the amount of product used for botulinum toxin. The doctor tells you the exact figure for your case at the consultation, before you decide.

Yes. You can pay in euros by card or in cash.

Prices in our price list are quoted in Czech crowns (CZK).

Before your procedure

Anaesthesia, fasting, preparation — what you need to know before you come.

It depends on the procedure. Smaller procedures — eyelid surgery, ear correction, labiaplasty, facelift or smaller-scale liposuction — are performed under local anaesthesia: you are awake, feel no pain and go home shortly afterwards.

Larger operations, such as breast, nose or abdominal surgery, are performed under general anaesthesia — with a pre-operative examination and a short hospital stay. The doctor tells you which applies to you at the consultation; it is also stated on each procedure page.

Yes — for healthy clients, general anaesthesia is safe. Before the operation you have a pre-operative examination, which rules out any conditions that would increase the risk.

Anaesthesia is administered by board-certified anaesthetists experienced in plastic surgery, who monitor your vital functions throughout the operation and afterwards. Tell the doctor about your concerns at the consultation — they will explain how anaesthesia works and answer anything you want to know.

Before a procedure under general anaesthesia, yes: do not eat, drink or smoke for at least 6 hours before the operation.

You do not need to fast before a procedure under local anaesthesia — in fact, we recommend a light meal beforehand. You receive exact instructions at the consultation.

Let us know as soon as possible and we will move the date. You need to be completely healthy on the day — even a mild cold, a runny nose, a cold sore or any other infection impairs healing and increases the risk of complications.

Postponing is always the safer option, and it costs you nothing.

After your procedure

Healing, scars, check-ups and getting back to normal — in general; each procedure page has the specifics.

Yes. Dressings and post-operative check-ups are part of the price of the procedure — until you have fully healed.

You arrange the check-up dates with the doctor before you leave the clinic; the first check-up is usually within the first two weeks, depending on the operation.

Yes — every incision leaves a scar. How it looks depends on your skin quality, its ability to regenerate and the placement of the incision: our surgeons place incisions where scars are least noticeable — in natural creases, in the eyelid fold, behind the ear.

In the first months scars are red and sensitive; they gradually fade and soften, and with good healing are barely visible after 6 to 12 months. Moisturising, massage and sun protection help. In predisposed people, hypertrophic or keloid scars can develop — your doctor discusses your individual risk with you beforehand. Where exactly the incision runs is described on each procedure page.

The procedure itself does not hurt. Under local anaesthesia you feel only the injection that numbs the area, then just touch and pressure; under general anaesthesia you are asleep.

Pain afterwards is usually mild — more like pressure or a bruise — and ordinary painkillers are enough. After larger operations we control it with medication in the first days. What to expect for a specific procedure is covered in the questions on each procedure page.

It depends on the procedure. After botulinum toxin or dermal fillers you return to your normal day immediately. After smaller operations under local anaesthesia — eyelids, ears, labiaplasty — expect about a week of taking it easy.

After larger operations under general anaesthesia — breast, abdomen, nose — you usually return to work in 2 to 4 weeks and to sport in 4 to 6 weeks. The specific course of recovery, with instructions, is described on each procedure page.

Usually after several weeks to months — once the swelling has gone down. In the first days the operated area does not reflect the final result: swelling and bruising are normal and gradually disappear.

After eyelid or ear surgery you see the result within weeks; after breast, abdominal and nose surgery the final shape settles in 3 to 6 months, and slight swelling of the nasal tip can take even longer. Patience is part of the treatment.

For most procedures the result is permanent or long-lasting. Changes of shape — nose or ear surgery — are permanent.

Procedures on skin and soft tissue — eyelids, facelift, liposuction, breast and abdominal surgery — are long-lasting: the body continues to age naturally, and weight, pregnancy or lifestyle affect the result. The effect of botulinum toxin (2 to 6 months) and hyaluronic acid fillers (up to 12 months) is temporary and is repeated.

Sometimes, yes. Some procedures are routinely combined into a single operation — for example a breast lift with augmentation, or a tummy tuck with liposuction — with one anaesthetic and one recovery.

For more extensive operations such as a facelift we do not recommend combining procedures, as it would prolong healing. Whether a combination makes sense and is safe in your case is assessed by the doctor at the consultation.

About the clinic

Who we are, where to find us and how we treat your privacy.

Estela is a plastic surgery clinic in Brno, run since 2016 by board-certified plastic surgeons. All four of our doctors also work at a university hospital, where they practise microsurgery and reconstructive surgery — the daily operating experience that aesthetic procedures build on.

Consultations are free, prices are final, nothing is paid in advance and a real person always answers the phone. Meet our doctors and read how clients describe their experience.

By their board certification in plastic surgery. It is obtained after medical school and several years of specialist training at accredited departments, and the doctor is registered with the Czech Medical Chamber. Ask about it — it is the basic check of a surgeon's qualification.

All our doctors are board-certified plastic surgeons. Their training, experience and focus are described in the doctors' profiles.

Yes. We conduct the consultation and the entire procedure in English, and you can pay in euros — by card or in cash.

The clinic is in Brno, easily reached from Prague, Vienna and Bratislava.

The clinic is at Horníkova 34, Brno-Líšeň, in the polyclinic building. Parking is free directly in front of the building; you can also reach us from the centre of Brno by public transport.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, by appointment. A map and directions are on the Contact page.

Discreetly. Before-and-after photographs are part of your medical care and remain in your medical records.

We publish photographs on the website only with the client's explicit consent, and we never persuade anyone to give it — which is why our gallery is a selection. You can withdraw your consent at any time. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.

That is our aim — a result that suits your face or figure and does not look "done". Every result is individual, though: it depends on your starting point, skin quality, healing and what you wish for.

That is why the doctor tells you openly at the consultation what is realistic and what is not. We never promise a result in advance; you can get an idea in our before-and-after gallery.
