Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is one of the most common aesthetic operations worldwide. Round or anatomical silicone implants restore volume and shape to the breasts — and, with them, often a woman's lost self-confidence.

The most common aesthetic operation worldwide

Breasts are enlarged with silicone implants of a round or anatomical (teardrop) shape, placed either under the mammary gland, or deeper under the pectoral muscle. The operation helps women who are unhappy with the size or shape of their breasts regain a positive perception of their own body.

Who the procedure is suitable for

  • Women aged 18 and over, once the mammary gland has fully developed
  • Dissatisfaction with breast size or shape
  • Pronounced breast asymmetry
  • Loss of breast volume after breastfeeding
  • We do not perform the operation before the age of 18, while the mammary gland is still developing. Whether the procedure is right for you is always assessed by the doctor at a free consultation.
Mentor implants

Round, or anatomical?

For augmentation we use Mentor silicone implants — round, or anatomical (teardrop) in shape. The implant is placed under the mammary gland, or deeper under the pectoral muscle.

The doctor chooses the technique and course of the operation according to your individual needs — taking into account the original breast size, the chosen type and size of implant, and the desired final effect.

It all starts with a consultation

At a free consultation, the doctor discusses your expectations, recommends a suitable implant shape and size, and explains how the operation proceeds. Because the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, pre-operative examinations are required beforehand — we will arrange everything necessary with you.

Five steps to a fuller décolletage

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia in the operating theatre and takes approximately 1–1.5 hours. It involves at least a one-day hospital stay at the clinic.

  1. 01

    General anaesthesia

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia — you sleep through the whole procedure and feel nothing.

  2. 02

    The incision

The incision may be made in the armpit, in the fold under the breast, or around the nipple. The doctor tailors the choice to the type and size of the implant and to your anatomy.

  3. 03

    Inserting the implant

Through the chosen incision, the doctor inserts the silicone implant — either under the mammary gland, or under the pectoral muscle.

  4. 04

    Stitches and sterile dressing

At the end of the operation, the wounds are closed with fine stitches and covered with a sterile dressing.

  5. 05

    A night at the clinic

After the operation you remain at the clinic in post-operative care for 1 day (overnight). The next day the doctor changes the dressings and discharges you into home care.

What to expect after the operation

Day 0–1

You spend the night in post-operative care at the clinic. The next day the doctor changes the dressings and discharges you home.

Week 1

Take it easy. Avoid sunbathing and exposure to freezing conditions.

Week 2

Swelling, bruising and breast tenderness usually subside, and you can return to work.

Weeks 4–6

You continue wearing the special support bra that holds the implants in the correct position. Until the end of week 6, avoid sport, heavier physical activity, lifting heavy objects and sleeping on your stomach.

Months 2–3

Once the tissues have fully healed and the swelling has settled, the final result of the operation is visible.

Healing is individual — the doctor will arrange your post-operative check-ups and exact regimen with you personally.

Dissatisfaction with breast size or shape can undermine self-confidence. Augmentation helps bring it back.

Breast augmentation pricing

The price depends on the chosen type of implants. An alternative to implants is enlargement using your own fat (lipofilling) — we will discuss the right option with you at a free consultation.

  • Breast Augmentation — round implants 3,400 €
  • Breast Augmentation — anatomical implants 3,860 €
  • Breast Augmentation — fat transfer 2,190 €

The price includes general anaesthesia, the procedure itself, an overnight stay at the clinic and post-operative check-ups.

These prices apply to procedures from 1 January 2027. If your procedure is booked for 2026, the price quoted when you booked still applies.

We speak openly with you

The operation is followed by swelling, bruising and breast tenderness. These effects usually subside within 2 weeks.

As with any operation, complications can rarely occur — a haematoma (collection of blood), a seroma (collection of tissue fluid) or an infection. Specific to breast implants is capsular contracture, a tightening of the fibrous capsule the body naturally forms around the implant; it may require further treatment. The risk is reduced by a gentle surgical technique and by following the post-operative regimen.

Two weeks before the operation

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia, so pre-operative examinations are required beforehand — we will arrange everything with you in good time.

To reduce the risk of excessive bleeding, avoid medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid — such as Acylpyrin, Aspirin or Anopyrin — for approximately 2 weeks before the operation.

In our patients' words

A selection of reviews from Google and Firmy.cz.

I had breast augmentation on 1 October with Dr. Novák and I have to say everything was great. I was operated on at Berkova, the nurses were amazing, care 10/10. The doctor is a huge professional and very kind, he made my breasts exactly as I imagined and I can only recommend him everywhere

Dr. Novák really is one of the best doctors I have ever met. Not only did he do a great job — he recommended the implants that suit me best, my breasts look completely natural and healed beautifully — but he is also a wonderful person on a human level. With him I didn’t have the slightest fear, either before the procedure or after it; he was there whenever you needed him. For my part, I can only recommend him!!!! 🙂

Frequently asked questions about breast augmentation

Round implants add fullness to the upper pole of the breast and give a more pronounced result. Anatomical (teardrop) implants follow the natural slope of the breast, so the result looks more subtle. We use both shapes from the manufacturer Mentor — the doctor will recommend the right option at a consultation, based on your figure and the result you have in mind.
The incision is made in the armpit, in the fold under the breast, or around the nipple — always placed so the resulting scar is as inconspicuous as possible. A fresh scar tends to be redder at first, then gradually fades and matures. We will advise you on scar care at your post-operative check-ups.
Most women return to work 2 weeks after the operation. Wait 6 weeks before sport, heavier physical activity and lifting heavy objects — and avoid sleeping on your stomach for the same period.
Both are possible — the implant is inserted either under the mammary gland, or deeper under the pectoral muscle. The right placement depends mainly on the amount of your own breast tissue and on the chosen implant; you will receive a specific recommendation at a consultation.
Yes. Implants are not toxic to the foetus and do not prevent breastfeeding — the operation can therefore be performed even before a planned pregnancy. We operate on women aged 18 and over, once the mammary gland has fully developed.
You wear a special support bra for 4–6 weeks after the operation. It holds the implants in the correct position while the tissues heal.
You stay at the clinic for at least 1 day (overnight) in post-operative care; the next day the doctor changes the dressings and discharges you home. Swelling, bruising and breast tenderness usually subside within 2 weeks.
Yes. Implants can correct pronounced breast asymmetry and restore volume lost after breastfeeding — both are common reasons why women choose augmentation.
Modern silicone implants have no fixed lifespan and are not replaced automatically. Replacement is only considered if problems arise or the breast changes shape — which is why we monitor the implants at regular check-ups.
Yes, we also offer breast enlargement using your own fat (lipofilling). Fat harvested by liposuction is processed and transferred to the breasts; the method suits more modest enlargement with a very natural result. Whether fat or an implant is the better option for you is assessed by the doctor at a consultation.
