Botulinum toxin is a gentle, non-surgical treatment that smooths expression lines — crow's feet, the frown line between the brows, and forehead lines. The treatment takes only a few minutes, the effect sets in within days and lasts 2–6 months.
About the procedure
Botulinum toxin selectively relaxes the expression muscles whose repeated contractions create lines. We most often treat the lines around the eyes (crow's feet), the frown line between the brows, and the horizontal lines on the forehead; it can also be applied around the nose, the mouth and chin, or on the neck and décolletage. The treatment is suitable for adult men and women — and it can be used not only to correct lines, but also to prevent them.
The preparation interrupts the neuromuscular junction and stops the expression muscle from contracting. The muscle relaxes — and the lines created by its repeated contractions smooth out, partially or completely.
The effect is temporary: it lasts 2–6 months, depending on the strength of the muscle and on how quickly the body breaks the active substance down. After that, facial movement gradually returns to normal.
Before the procedure
Botulinum toxin requires no special preparation — just arrive with your make-up thoroughly removed, so the treated areas are clean. You can reduce the chance of small bruises at the injection sites by avoiding over-the-counter medicines and supplements that thin the blood — such as acetylsalicylic acid — for a few days beforehand; never stop prescribed medication, however, without consulting your doctor.

The procedure
The treatment takes place at the clinic on an outpatient basis, and the whole visit takes only a few minutes. The number of injections varies by treated area.
The doctor assesses how your face moves and together you choose the areas worth treating. These determine the number of injections — and the final price.
Botulinum toxin is applied with a very fine needle in several tiny injections into the muscle or just under the skin of the treated area. The treatment is almost painless and is very well tolerated.
You leave immediately after the treatment — no downtime, no disruption to your day. For the first four hours, simply follow a few easy aftercare rules.
You will notice the first changes within 3–5 days; the full effect appears after 14 days.
Aftercare
Hours 0–4
Use your facial muscles actively in the treated area, avoid bending forward or lying down, and don't touch the treated spots.
Days 0–3
The injection sites may be briefly a little red or swollen; you return to your normal day straight away.
Days 3–5
The first visible effect sets in — the treated muscles gradually relax and the lines begin to smooth out.
Day 14
The effect is complete. Any small bruises will have faded by now, and the two weeks without facial treatments and massages come to an end.
Months 2–6
The effect gradually wears off as the active substance breaks down. Once movement returns, the treatment can simply be repeated.
How long the effect lasts is individual — it depends on the strength of the treated muscle and on how quickly your body breaks the active substance down.

Pricing
The price depends on the number of treated areas — and the price per area drops when several areas are treated together. Which areas make sense for you is best discussed with the doctor at a free consultation.
The price is final and includes 12% VAT. Botulinum toxin is also used to treat excessive sweating — the price-list entry corresponds to 100 units of the preparation.
These prices apply to procedures from 1 January 2027. If your procedure is booked for 2026, the price quoted when you booked still applies.

Botulinum toxin is a gentle treatment with few side effects. The most common are temporary redness or mild swelling at the injection site, and occasionally small bruises — all of which usually disappear within 14 days.
Rarely, a passing headache may occur after the application. In exceptional cases the active substance can affect a neighbouring muscle — showing, for example, as a temporary drooping of the eyelid or brow, or a slight asymmetry. These effects, too, are temporary and resolve as the substance breaks down; the risk is reduced by an experienced doctor and by following the aftercare rules in the first hours after treatment.
For four hours after the treatment, use your facial muscles actively in the treated area, avoid bending forward or lying down, and don't touch the treated spots.
For the following two weeks, skip cosmetic skin treatments and facial massages.
